Washington, DC - Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) released the following statement today in response to Eagle Ottawa's announcement that they will layoff workers from their Waterloo plant:   

"My thoughts and prayers are with the Eagle Ottawa workers and families affected by the recent layoff announcement, and I will do everything in my power to help them during this transition.  Today's news is one more unfortunate example of our failed trade policies putting American workers at a disadvantage.  I will continue working for fair trade policies that help Iowa families by keeping good paying jobs in Iowa."
