Braley Announces Davenport to Receive $477,000 for Water and Sewer Infrastructure |
Washington, DC - Today, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) announced that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $477,000 to Davenport to continue design and construction of the West Side Diversion Tunnel. Braley secured this funding for the Diversion Tunnel in the 2007 Omnibus Appropriations Bill last December, and the EPA is now releasing the funding to Davenport.
"I'm glad the funding I secured will now be put to use helping construct Davenport's West Side Diversion Tunnel," Braley said. "The West Side Diversion Tunnel will help bring water and sewer services to west Davenport, facilitating community health and promoting development throughout the area."
The West Side Diversion Tunnel project will construct approximately three miles of new sanitary sewer infrastructure in west Davenport. |
