Washington, DC - Today, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) announced that the US Department of Justice awarded the City of Waterloo a $22,840 grant for local law enforcement programs under the Byrne- JAG drug enforcement program.  The Byrne-JAG program helps local communities combat illegal drugs, including methamphetamine.

"I'm happy that Waterloo received this important law enforcement funding," Braley said.  "Byrne-JAG funding is crucial to reducing drug use in Iowa communities.  I will continue working to fully fund the Byrne-JAG program so local law enforcement officers have the funding they need to protect our communities."
