Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) announced that he has opened a temporary office in Cedar Falls to assist victims of the severe flooding that has impacted northern Iowa. Staff from Braley's office will be on hand to answer questions about federal disaster aid and to open casework. Braley's office in downtown Waterloo is temporarily closed until further notice due to flooding, but phone calls to the office are being forwarded to Braley's Davenport office. "With the help and support of the community, Iowans impacted by this flooding disaster will get back on their feet," Braley said. "I'm making my staff available at the Cedar Falls Red Cross shelter to answer questions and open casework. I want my office to be a resource for people who need help recovering from this disaster." Braley's aides will be staffing the office at UNI's West Gym starting this afternoon at 2pm. The Cedar Falls temporary office will be open until further notice.
