Figure 7.2 is titled "Dependence or Abuse of Specific Substances among Past Year Users of Substances: 2003." It is a bar graph, where the horizontal axis represents the percentage of users with dependence or abuse of a specific substance, and the vertical axis represents specific substances. There are ten specific substances: Heroin, Cocaine, Sedatives, Marijuana, Stimulants, Pain Relievers, Alcohol, Tranquilizers, Hallucinogens, and Inhalants. For each specific substance, the percentage dependent or abusing among past year users of the substance is as follows:

Among past year users of heroin, 57.4% had dependence on or abuse of heroin.
Among past year users of cocaine, 25.6% had dependence on or abuse of cocaine.
Among past year users of sedatives, 19.0% had dependence on or abuse of sedatives.
Among past year users of marijuana, 16.6% had dependence on or abuse of marijuana.
Among past year users of stimulants, 13.7% had dependence on or abuse of stimulants.
Among past year users of pain relievers, 12.2% had dependence on or abuse of pain relievers.
Among past year users of alcohol, 11.5% had dependence on or abuse of alcohol.
Among past year users of tranquilizers, 8.6% had dependence on or abuse of tranquilizers.
Among past year users of hallucinogens, 8.2% had dependence on or abuse of hallucinogens.
Among past year users of inhalants, 8.2% had dependence on or abuse of inhalants.
