Rock Creek Park
Within the Rock Creek area lie the National Zoological Park, the 1823 Peirce-Klingle Mansion and Peirce Mill. In addition, there is a Nature Center, a Planetarium, and the Carter Barron Amphitheater, where summer concerts are performed. Visitors can tour the Park by foot, horse, bike, or car. There are no fees to visit the Park. Times of Operation The Park is open during daylight hours, 7 days a week. For hours of the various visitor centers, check the NPS Website. There are many access points to the Park. You can access the Park by Metro at Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan, or by car, bike, or on foot. Entry can be made from many Northwest neighborhoods: Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, Adams Morgan, Sixteenth Street Corridor, and the Connecticut Avenue Corridor. Rock Creek Park Links |
