HOLT AND PALLONE OPPOSE DENIAL OF TRICARE BY PATTERSON ARMY HEALTH CLINIC

Eatontown, NJ -– U.S. Representatives Rush Holt (NJ-12) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs William Winkenwerder, Jr. today, detailing their concern that Patterson Army Health Clinic (PAHC) will no longer serve TRICARE Plus beneficiaries.  The letter was in response to beneficiaries being notified that they will need to find alternative care providers by October 16, 2006.

The notification to beneficiaries that their coverage would no longer be honored at PAHC comes on the heels of assurances by the Department of Defense to Reps. Holt and Pallone that all options for maintenance of services would be explored, in conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the New Jersey Department of Military Veterans Affairs, and the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Planning Authority, prior to degradation of service at PAHC.
