Abstract
Standards currently used in the fire protection field are analyzed in
relation to their applicability to nuclear power stations and recommendations
concerning their improvement are made. Results of mathematical
analyses of typical fire barriers are given. Based on the temperature
gradient established in the mathematical analyses, a stress analysis of
poured concrete walls is described. Recommendations are made for followup
studies and experiments.
