I serve on the Appropriations Committee, which has jurisdiction for the funding of the federal government.

For more information on the Appropriations Committee's meeting schedule, please visit the calendar page on the committee's Web site.

Attending a Committee Meeting
Committee meetings are generally open to the public. A meeting might be closed for a briefing on classified materials, but that is extremely unusual. Tickets are not required to attend meetings, but seating is very limited.  It is not possible to reserve seating ahead of time for committee meetings.  In addition, committee meetings that are open to the public are typically made available via webcast from the committee's Web site.

*** NOTE *** If you are interested in attending a committee meeting or watching one via webcast, it is recommended that you check the committee's Web site ahead of time to ensure that the meeting will indeed be open to the public, or, if you would like to watch the meeting online, to ensure that it will be available via webcast.  If the Web site doesn't provide that information, you can contact the committee staff to confirm over the phone.

Lastly, some committee meetings are broadcast on the C-SPAN network.  To find out if a meeting you are interested in will be broadcast on C-SPAN, please visit C-SPAN's Web site and look at their TV schedule.
