Mr. Solit is the Director of the Department of Energy’s Executive Secretariat.  He has served in that position since 1997, through the administrations of 5 Secretaries.

Prior to working as the Department’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Solit served in numerous other positions at the Department of Energy, in other Federal Agencies and in the private sector.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor Degree from The George Washington University.

Mr. Solit and his wife Karen reside in Bethesda, MD.  They have two children.
