Filing FEGLI Hurricane Claims
To file a claim for life insurance benefits due to one of the recent Hurricanes, simply call the Office of Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (OFEGLI) at 1-800-633-4542, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time.
Be sure to tell the customer service representative that you are calling to file a FEGLI Katrina or Rita claim. OFEGLI is expediting the processing for these claims and your call will be routed to a special team who will assist you as quickly as possible.
