Office of Personnel Management, Workforce Information and Planning Group.
Revised December 4, 2006
Standard Form 113-A, Monthly Report of Federal Civilian Employment, collects monthly summary data about Federal civilian employment, payroll and turnover. Employment data is as of the last calendar day of the month or as of the end of the pay period closest and prior to the end of the month. Payroll and turnover data reflect the report month covered.
Included are Federal civilian officers and employees in or under the U.S. Government (including Government-owned or controlled corporations) who are paid salaries, wages, or fees for personal service they render. The Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, National Imagery and Mapping Agency, and Defense Intelligence Agency are exempt. Most non-appropriated fund employees and employees of the District of Columbia government are not included.
