Karyotyping

Karyotyping (Human)
• Standard analysis of metaphase chomosomes using G-banding technique.
• Monitoring of established cell lines using classical and/or molecular cytogenetic techniques to rule out interspecies culture contamination.
• Characterize tumor related cell lines for chromosome rearrangement.
• Special studies using a variety of banding techniques including G, C, and R.

Karyotyping (Mammalian)
• Standard analysis of metaphase chromosomes from a wide variety of species including but not restricted to mouse.

Sample Requirements:
Peripheral blood: 5-10 mls in Heparin container
Culture: Culture must be actively growing with media supplied. A T-75 flask is preferred. Tissue culture flask must not be vented. This prevents spillage and contamination during transit. Do not fill beyond recommendation of flask i.e. (to the absolute top of flask or tube).

Please inquire if your sample varies from the listed recommendations.  Please inquire for likely turnaround time.
