Brooks to Outline NNSA’s Role in Preventing Nuclear Terrorism

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) will speak this Friday at a breakfast seminar on nuclear terrorism hosted by the National Defense University Foundation.
NNSA Administrator Linton F. Brooks will discuss NNSA’s work to keep nuclear materials and technologies out of the hands of terrorists, and the challenges facing the U.S. in addressing this important concern. This event will be on-the-record and open to the press.

Brooks will address NNSA’s role and importance in the global struggle against nuclear terrorism. |

Established by Congress in 2000, NNSA is a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear science.
