New Subcommittee Report Available for Public Comment
The Secretary of Energy has determined that the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board will sunset on May 20, 2006. During its nearly sixteen years as the highest level federal advisory committee at the Department of Energy, the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board and its subcommittees produced over forty reports and studies over a wide range of technical, managerial, operational and policy topics. These reports have provided balanced external advice to past Secretaries of Energy on the Department's basic and applied research activities, economic and national security policy, educational issues, laboratory management, and the activities and operations of the Department of Energy.
The final act of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board was the review and approval of the final report of the Board's Science and Mathematics Education Task Force on May 19, 2006.
