Investigations Program
The Investigations Program is an ongoing activity, implemented by each of Reclamation’s five Regional Offices, that includes planning studies conducted by Reclamation on a geographically defined basis (the GDPs), usually in partnership with Federal, State and local government entities, Tribes, or appropriate nongovernmental entities. GDPs focus on specific water resources problems, issues, needs and opportunities within a relatively localized study area. These investigations have multiple activities, goals, deliverables, and provide structure to focus on different water resources
issues relevant to the area of investigation.
