Human Resources

The Human Resources function in NNSA is a vital partnership between all levels of NNSA management.  It requires effective collaboration with the Service Center’s Office of Human Capital Management Services.  The Headquarters’ Office of Human Capital Management Programs is organized into the following four divisions:

  • Policy and Planning
The Policy and Planning Division will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of, human resources management policies and programs, workforce planning and analysis, and organizational change processes throughout NNSA.  This division leads the design and development of the 5-year pay banding/pay-for-performance demonstration project in partnership with the Office of Personnel Management.
  • DEMO Project
NNSA’s “pay-banding” will help attract and retain the best and brightest workers in the national security field.  Click here for more information.
  • Executive Resources
The Executive Resources Division provides a full range of human resources services in the functional areas of personnel staffing, recruitment, processing and placement, classification and position management, employee relations and benefits administration for NNSA executive services positions.
  • Future Leaders Program
The Future Leaders Program Division manages all aspects of the intern program’s development, implementation, and operation.  Visit their page to learn more about the NNSA's Future Leaders Program.
  • Chief Learning Officer
The Chief Learning Officer Division develops NNSA’s talent, leadership, employee training, career development, and succession planning policies and programs. The Chief Learning Officer Division conceives and devises new management approaches and career development tools to help NNSA hire, develop, and retain the right talent in the right places.
