FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 5/29/02 The press conference scheduled for Thursday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m., to announce an agreement between the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) to provide whistleblower protection for federal airline security screeners has been postponed. OSC was informed, after publication of today’s earlier press release, that Under Secretary for Transportation Security John Magaw, the head of the TSA, has an unavoidable scheduling conflict that precludes his attendance at the press conference. The press conference has been tentatively rescheduled for next week.
