FROM Charles Donahue Solicitor of Labor - SUBJECT: Revised Regulations, Parts 1, 3, and 5 of Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations. To facilitate and improve the administration of the prevailing wage pro- visions of the Davis-Bacon Act and its related statutes, and to accomplish the other desirable objectives specified in the introductory paragraphs, revised Parts 1, 3, and 5 of Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations were published in the Federal Register of January 4, 1964, to become effective thirty days after such publication, namely, on February 3, 1964. In view of the substantial changes reflected in the revised Regulations, and in line with our practice of consulting and working closely with the Federal agencies in these labor standards matters of mutual concern, we have scheduled a meeting for March 2, 1964, to afford representatives of the various agencies full opportunity to discuss the revised Regulations with representatives of the Department of Labor. The meeting will be held, starting at 10:00 A.M., in the Commerce Depart- ment Auditorium, the main entrance to which is on Fourteenth Street, N.W., near the intersection of Fourteenth Street and Constitution Avenue.
