U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS ADMINISTRATION Wage and Hour Division WASHINGTON, D.C. 20210 APR 15 1976 MEMORANDUM NO. 124 TO: ALL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING AGENCIES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA SUBJECT: AUTOMATION OF THE DAVIS-BACON WAGE DETERMINATION PROGRAM The Department of Labor has awarded a contract to Ocean Data Systems, Inc., and its subcontractor, Gordon Associates, Inc., for technical assistance in designing and implementing an automatic data processing (ADP) system for the Davis- Bacon wage determination program. This systems development effort will take place over a planned period of sixteen months extending from March 1976 through June 1977. Operational start-up of the Davis-Bacon ADP system is tentatively scheduled for April 1977. The first task is a three-month detailed analysis of the Davis- Bacon program by the contractors. During this three-month period the contractors will be interviewing personnel in the National and Regional Offices as well as Federal, State and local procurement agencies, labor organizations, and construction contractors and associations. The support and cooperation of all sources of information is vital to the successful completion of this initial task as well as the entire project.
