Arkansas Metadata Training

Part 1: Morning session is designed to provide guidance on creating and publishing metadata. Part 2: We are all really busy which usually leads to not doing metadata. The afternoon session is designed to give you a chance to get out of the office, away from the phone, and complete that one nagging task you have been putting off; METADATA!!!! AGIO staff will be available to answer questions as you work on documenting your datasets. A limited number of laptops will be available. Date: July 18, 2006--- Second class on July 19, 2006 (Due to demand) Location: AGIO- 124 West Capitol, Suite 990 Little Rock Agenda: 9:30 - 10:30: Learning how to create metadata within ArcCatalog 10:30- 10:45: Break 10:45- 11:30: Relationship between metadata and GeoStor search, find, and discover (tips and tricks to make sure your data is found) 11:30- 1:30: Lunch 1:30 - 4:30: Create your metadata. Bring your datasets (laptops if you have one) with you and AGIO staff will help you create metadata for your datasets.
