To enroll for a certificate of attendance in the VA National Center for Patient Safety independent study program entitled “Ensuring Correct Surgery”
please click on the Register button or the link at the bottom of this page.
Please print these instructions for use during registration.
Please review the course material, view the video and then complete the registration and evaluation on-line to print out your certificate of completion.
Enrolling on-line is an easy process. By clicking the link below (or the Register button above) you will be routed to the EES Log On Page. If you are entered into the system, you will be able to follow the log-in instructions and enter the system. If the system does not recognize you, you will be asked to enroll.
Log in. If you have been to this site before, enter your Username (first four letters of your last name, and the last four numbers of your SSN) and Password (last four numbers of your SSN, and the first four letters of your last name).
If you are not registered on the site, the log on page will reappear with a new link under the Password field: "To Enroll Click Here" to create an account on the EES server.
After you create an account you are returned to the LOGIN screen where you will enter your Username (first four letters of your last name, and the last four numbers of your SSN) and Password (last four numbers of your SSN, and the first four letters of your last name).
Click on the My Catalog link on the left-hand side bar in order to find the Continuing Education Folder. Open the folder and the Ensuring Correct Surgery program will be listed.
Choose the “Ensuring Correct Surgery” program by clicking on the Sign Me Up link associated with the course on the right side of your page.You will hear clicking sounds while your demographics are loaded. This is normal.
Two buttons will appear on your screen. Click on the : View My Catalog and View My Resources button. Click on the View My Resources Button.
When the My Resources Page appears, the Ensuring Correct Surgery program will appear. Click on the link and you will be routed to the End Of Course page and a link to the evaluation will follow. Click on the Evaluation and complete it.
After you have completed the evalution. You will be routed back to the End of Course Page. A new button will appear labeled: Certificate.
Click on the Certificate Button. Select the appropriate certificate and then print your Certificate of Completion.
If you are ready to register for the program, complete the evaluation, and receive a certificate of completion; please continue to the EES website.
