About this FEB
The Philadelphia Federal Executive Board was one of the original FEBs established by President Kennedy in 1961. It has three primary missions: Coordination and Support of Intergovernmental & Community activities; Emergency Preparedness, Security, and Employee Safety; and Human Capital Readiness.
We serve an immediate population of 170 federal entities within a three state area that includes southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware. There are approximately 50,000 uniformed military, civilian, or Postal Service workers within that territory.
The Philadelphia FEB puts a premium upon the need to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the Federal workforce in varied aspects to ensure the continuity of government operations in day-to-day customer service and during emergency situations that could disrupt that continuity.
