FY2010 Appropriations Requests

As we begin the Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriations process, I encourage you to evaluate your budget priorities and submit an appropriations request to my office. The process for submitting requests is outlined below.

NOTICE: The submission of an Appropriations request does not guarantee that the request will receive federal funding. You will be notified by my office if your project receives funding. Also note that while the Appropriations process begins now, the vast majority of bills will not be considered by Congress until later in the calendar year.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

In order to ensure that each application is thoroughly reviewed and considered, please note the following requirements:

  • All applications must be submitteed via electronic form.

  • All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009.  Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
  • Additional documentation or information may be required based on the nature of the project or request.  You will be contacted if followup is needed.

In my continuing effort to make our government more transparent, I will publicly disclose all appropriations requests I submit, and will provide an explanation of the purpose and value of each earmark.
