Tips for Conducting Business with NRCSome important points to keep in mind when marketing to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC): The NRC procures products and services in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (48 CFR Chapter 1) and the NRC Acquisition Regulation (48 CFR Chapter 20). Micropurchases: Purchases below $3,500 (also known as micropurchases) are made using the Visa credit card. These purchases are not strictly set aside for small business (although their use is encouraged), and competition is not required. See our list of credit card holders. Simplified Acquisitions: Purchases above $3,500 and below $100,000 are reserved for small businesses and are subject to streamlined procurement procedures. Purchases between $3,500 and $25,000 are typically not advertised, and the NRC generally solicits proposals for these purchases from three sources.
GSA Federal Supply Service: The NRC uses the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Supply Service (FSS) Contracts and schedules, GSA Advantage, GSA GWACS, and other purchasing assistance for buying an increasing variety of products and services.
