NRC TO MEET WITH EXELON GENERATION CO. APRIL 18 TO DISCUSS LASALLE NUCLEAR POWER STATION SAFETY PERFORMANCE Printable Version
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet on Thursday, April 18, with representatives of Exelon Generation Co. to discuss the results of the agency's annual assessment of safety performance at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Station. The two-reactor facility is located near Seneca, Illinois. The meeting, which will be the open to the public for observation, is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Brookfield Township Hall, Grand Ridge - Mazon Road, near Seneca. Before the meeting is concluded, NRC officials will answer questions from members of the public. The performance period to be discussed is April 1 through December 31 of last year. A letter sent from the NRC Region III office to Exelon addresses plant performance during the period and will serve as the basis for the meeting discussion.
