NRC TO MEET WITH ENTERGY TO DISCUSS SAFETY PERFORMANCE AT ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with officials of Entergy Operations, Inc. on Monday, June 25, to discuss the results of NRC's annual assessment of safety performance at Arkansas Nuclear One, a nuclear power plant near Russellville, Arkansas. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. in the Reeves E. Ritchie Training Center Auditorium at the junction of Hwy. 64W and Hwy. 333 South, Russellville. The public is invited to observe the meeting. NRC officials will be available after the meeting to answer questions. A letter sent from NRC Region IV to Entergy, which addresses plant safety performance during the previous year and forms the basis of the meeting discussion, is available from the Region IV Office of Public Affairs or on the NRC web site at: http://www.nrc.gov/OPA/ppr/.
