SUBCOMMITTEES OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND, ON FEBRUARY 21 - 22


The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled meetings of its subcommittees on plant operations and on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment, as well as on plant license renewal, on February 21 and 22 in Rockville, Maryland.

The meetings, which are open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency's Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, starting at 8:30 a.m.

A joint meeting of the ACRS subcommittees on plant operations and on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment will be held on February 21. The subcommittees will discuss the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company's exemption request to exclude certain components from the Commission's requirements in Parts 21, 50 and 100 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. On February 22, the ACRS subcommittee on plant license renewal will meet to focus on the NRC staff's Safety Evaluation Report for the Entergy Operations, Inc. license renewal application for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, and related matters.
