The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will hold a meeting with representatives of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station on Wednesday, July 14, to discuss the results of the agency's latest Plant Performance Review for the facility. PP&L, Inc., operates the two-unit site in Berwick, Pa. The meeting is open to the public for observation.

Results of the review are contained in NRC news release I-99-46 which was issued on April 15. That press release and review can be found on the agency's web site at: www.nrc.gov/OPA/ppr.

The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Susquehanna Energy Information Center on Route 11.

At the conclusion of the meeting with the utility, NRC Region I Administrator Hubert J. Miller will meet with the media to discuss performance at Susquehanna, and the NRC's new reactor inspection and oversight program.
