Dr. Nils Diaz, Commissioner of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, has canceled his trip to Texas which included a visit to the South Texas Project, a nuclear power plant near Bay City, Texas, on Wednesday, September 8 (with a press availability at 2:30 p.m. at the plant), and a visit to the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analysis at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio on September 9. The planned visits were announced in a news release issued Friday, September 3.
