Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia, Pa., have selected Ho K. Nieh, Jr, as the new resident inspector at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station in Lower Alloways Creek, NJ. He joins Senior Resident Inspector Michele Evans and Resident Inspectors Jeff Laughlin and Ray Lorson at Salem.
Mr. Nieh joined the NRC in April of this year as a reactor engineer in the Region I office in King of Prussia, Pa. Prior to joining the agency, he worked at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL) in Ballston Spa, NY. He completed the U.S Navy's nuclear training program and was a nuclear plant engineer at a naval nuclear prototype plant for KAPL. His duties included operations, testing, maintenance, and training.
Mr. Nieh is a graduate of the Maritime College of the State University of New York, where he earned a Bachelor's of Engineering degree (with honors) in marine engineering.
Mr. Nieh and his wife live in West Chester, Pa.
