NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS
TO HOLD NOVEMBER MEETING IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards will hold a public meeting November 5-8 in Rockville, Md. The committee will discuss, among other items, the Early Site Permit review standard and a framework for licensing advanced non-light water reactors.

The meeting will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency’s Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. on November 5, and at 8:30 a.m. the succeeding days. The meeting will be open to the public, except for the following sessions, which will be closed to discuss safeguards and security issues:

November 5, 12:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.;

November 6, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. (to be closed if a security-related report is discussed), and;

November 7, 2:15 p.m. - 7 p.m. (to be closed if a security-related report is discussed).
