The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s
Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste (ACNW) will hold a meeting June 24 and 25
in Rockville, Md. The meeting’s agenda includes discussions by Department
of Energy and NRC representatives on resolving key technical issue agreements
for the proposed nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, as well
as an NRC project involving spent fuel loaded in a dry cask in 1985 and opened
and inspected in 1999.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency’s Two White Flint North Building, at 11545 Rockville Pike. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. on June 24, and at 8:30 a.m. on June 25. A complete agenda will be available via the NRC’s Web site at this
