NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC
MEETING JUNE 5 ON REACTOR VESSEL |

Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff
will meet with the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company on June 5 in
Rockville, Md., to discuss the results and analysis from non-destructive examination
of leakage at the bottom of the reactor vessel in STP Unit 1.
The meeting will be held in Room T-2B3 at 11545 Rockville Pike, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Meeting topics will also include the situation’s current status, progress on determining the leakage’s root cause, and repair plans. Discussion of proprietary information may close portions of the meeting to the public, but NRC staff will be available for public comment or questions before the meeting adjourns.
