Registration Open for 2009 Advocacy and Kids’ Summit!

Every Voice Counts! Tell Congress more needs to be done for the 46 million, including 300,000 kids, with arthritis.

The Advocacy and Kids’ Summit is an opportunity for advocates to rally together as one voice on Capitol Hill, March 2 - 4, 2009. You will meet personally with your Members of Congress and their staff to share your personal story of living with arthritis. With the large number of new Members of Congress for the 111th Congress, advocates attending the Summit will also be introducing the Arthritis Foundation and it’s advocacy priorities to a new office.

Advocates will:

  • Attend a training workshop;
  • Learn how best to communicate with your elected officials;
  • Network with fellow advocates.

Kids with arthritis who are currently in kindergarten and older are expressly invited to attend the Summit. Activity sessions specifically designed for children, including preparations for Capitol Hill visits, will be offered concurrently with sessions for adults. Kids in ninth through twelfth grades will attend the training sessions with their parent(s). All kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who also registers for the Advocacy Summit.

This year there is an option to either register on-line or download the registration packet to send in your payment.
