Loansome Doc Article Ordering Service -- Ordering using PubMed

Question: How do I Order an article using PubMed?
Answer:

To place a Loansome Doc order for an article using PubMed, go to PubMed by entering pubmed.gov in the address bar of your browser and do the following:

  1. Enter your search term(s) and click the Go button.
  2. On the Document Summary Page, click the box to the left of the citation title to mark for order. You may select multiple documents at one time, then select Order from the drop-down menu on the Send To button.
  3. Login to Loansome Doc by entering your email address and password.
  4. On the Loansome Doc Place Order screen, the list of the documents you have chosen to order are displayed. You may modify this list by clicking the box to the right of the citation to remove the checkmark. Click on Proceed to Delivery Options button.
  5. On the Place Order > Delivery Options screen you may change your Max Cost Per article and Cancel order if item(s) cannot be shipped by date defaults. You may also change your delivery method by clicking on the Edit Delivery Instructions for this Order button.
  6. Read the Copyright Compliance by selecting the link. Check the box to the left of the Copyright Compliance to indicate you have read and understand the terms. Click the Continue button.
  7. On the Place Order > Confirm Order screen you may change your requested documents by clicking on the Edit Document Requests button, change your delivery method by clicking on the Edit Delivery Instructions button, or change your max cost and comments to the library by clicking on the Edit Order Details button. When finished, click the Send Order button.
  8. The Place Order > Order Sent screen is displayed confirming the citations that have been ordered. Click the Printer Friendly Receipt link and print your receipt via the print option in your browser.
  9. To check the status of your order, click on the Check Order Status link at the bottom of the screen.
