Excused Absence for Federal Employees on December 24, 2001

On Thursday, December 6, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a memorandum  (CPM 2001-13) announcing that the President had signed an Executive order excusing Federal employees from duty on Monday, December 24, 2001, and providing guidance on the treatment of those employees for pay and leave purposes.  A copy of the Executive order is attached.  A copy of CPM 2001-13 is available on OPMs website at http://www.opm.gov/oca/compmemo/2001/2001-13.htm.
