E-Training: Vision & Goals

Vision

The vision of the program is to create a premier e-Learning environment that:

• Supports the development of the Federal workforce
• Advances the accomplishment of agency missions through simplified and one-stop access to high quality e-Learning products, tools, and services

The HR LOB/HRD Program Management Office (PMO) specifically supports:

• The Learning and Development Advisory Council (LDAC)
• Associated governance groups, including identified Service Providers
• Reporting to the HR LOB, OPM, and OMB

Goals

• Reduce redundancies and achieve economies of scale in the purchase and/or development of e-Learning content and infrastructure
• Consolidation, and/or sharing of hardware/software when possible
• Leverage components of existing e-Learning systems (LMS, LCMS, or IT hardware) where clear value propositions exist
• Offer user-friendly, one-stop access to a robust and high-quality e-Learning environment
• Encourage e-Learning investments as part of a strategic, systematic, and continuous development of Federal Government human capital
