About the Local Program Office
The Community Planning and Development (CPD) Division is responsible for the administration of all of HUD's Community Development, Economic Development, and Homeless programs in Ohio. CPD Director, Jorgelle Lawson, heads a staff of community development professionals who administer HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Home Program, Homeless Programs, and other efforts that support a broad range of projects throughout Ohio. HUD funds go to all levels of government, non-profit organizations, private entities, and community groups. These programs aid low and moderate-income persons by revitalizing neighborhoods, rehabilitating and developing housing, improving public facilities, providing necessary public services, and creating jobs.
