Try the resources listed below for assistance involving legal issues.

Legal services:

  • Legal Services of Puerto Rico - a private non-profit corporation that provides legal services, without cost, in civil cases to eligible persons and groups that are unable to pay the services of a private attorney due to their economic condition.

  • The Virgin Islands Legal Assistance Network (VILAN) - an association of legal services programs and non-profit agencies that help low-income people with a broad range of civil legal matters. Several territory-wide offices help create and distribute key information to the public through fact sheets, booklets, and manuals.
