Neonatal/Pediatric HIV Infection

The Department of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce a 2-hour satellite downlink video program to examine issues related to perinatal transmission of HIV, and the "Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in Pediatric HIV Infection" The 2-hour live broadcast is scheduled to air July 22, 1998 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. (EDT). This series is a joint effort of the Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Health Care Financing Administration, and the Indian Health Service.

Participation is free. Health care providers, patients, and other interested persons are encouraged to view this program. Locations for this program will be posted at http://www.tech-res-intl.com/hivaids/ as downlink sites register.

The New Jersey AIDS Education and Training Center (NJAETC) will offer CME credits for physicians and CEU credits for nurses for a fee of $10. The Association of Social Workers will offer CEUs for a fee of $10. Information and details will be made available at the same website.
