GLOBE Welcomes New Education Director
The GLOBE Program is pleased to announce a new addition
to our team. Dr. Ralph Coppola is an educator with over
25 years of experience in K-12 through university
education. He received a doctorate in Sociology of
Education and a Masters in Urban Education from Rutgers
University.
Dr. Coppola moves to Washington, D.C. from Michigan,
where he established the Institute for Environmental
Policy and Education at Saginaw Valley State University.
At GLOBE, Dr. Coppola will be working to ensure that
GLOBE is an exciting learning experience for all
students, as well as teachers. One of his major
responsibilities is the development of new approaches
to training for GLOBE Teachers, allowing GLOBE to
be implemented in many more schools. Dr. Coppola will
also oversee the continuing development of classroom
activities for GLOBE students.
