Commissioner Commissioner Denby Lloyd was officially appointed by Governor Sarah Palin on February 3, 2007. The Commissioner is ADF&G's principal executive officer responsible for the protection, management, conservation, and restoration of Alaska's fish and game resources.

Sport Fish

This includes stock assessment, management, hatchery production, access development and maintenance, habitat assessment and permitting, information and education, enforcement and planning and survey activities.
Commercial Fisheries

The mission of the division is to manage, protect, rehabilitate, enhance, and develop fisheries and aquatic plant resources in the interest of the economy and general well-being of the state, consistent with the sustained yield principle and subject to allocations established through public regulatory processes.
