Fundamentals of Handwriting Examinations

Course dates to be announced

Applicants should be crime laboratory personnel (examiners) working full time in questioned documents and/or examiner trainees. Students are required to participate in a moot court exercise. Each student will provide a mock or adjudicated handwriting/hand printing case, case notes, and chart for demonstration purposes. This one-week course is designed to provide basic instruction in handwriting examination. It includes all aspects of this discipline including: forgeries, obliteration, and indented writing. This class will have formalized classroom lectures and a broad range of practical exercise to expand the exposure of students to different types of handwriting problems. Moot court practice is included.
