Yugoslavia Joins GLOBE!

Yugoslavia FlagThe GLOBE Program welcomes Yugoslavia as the Program's 101st GLOBE country. On Thursday, October 17, 2002, at the Federal Palace, U.S. Ambassador William D. Montgomery and Dr. Miroslav Nikcevic, Assistant Federal Secretary of Labor, Health and Social Care, signed the GLOBE agreement.

"We are delighted to welcome teachers and students from Yugoslvania into the GLOBE Program!" said Lyn D. Wigbels, Deputy Director and Director for International Programs. "We look forward to their active participation in this exciting science and education program," Wigbels added.

Yugoslavia schools will now join over 21,000 GLOBE teachers from more than 12,000 schools worldwide, as the newest members of the GLOBE community.
