OSHA NAMES REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR IN SEATTLE
SEATTLE - Richard Terrill has been named regional administrator for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Region 10 Office in Seattle, covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska, the U.S. Department of Labor announced today.
Terrill began his career with OSHA in 1974 as an industrial hygienist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and transferred to the Seattle Regional Office in 1985. He was promoted to deputy regional administrator of OSHA's Seattle Regional Office in 1990.
In his position as regional administrator, Terrill will supervise a staff of 54 in Seattle, Portland, Boise and Anchorage and oversee enforcement of federal health and safety regulations for those employers and employees covered directly by such laws in Washington, Oregon and Alaska and for all employers and employees in Idaho, where federal OSHA has direct jurisdiction.
Terrill earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
