GLOBE in the Park - Two schools in Colorado used Rocky Mountain National Park as a place to practice GLOBE protocols and make observations in different eco-systems. The trip had several purposes. Making GLOBE measurements in the varied landscape of a national park, encouraged and stimulated comparisons with the data students had been collecting in their suburban environment. It demonstrated that the GLOBE investigations provide an excellent framework for studying any natural region. It facilitated integration of GLOBE investigations with all parts of the curriculum.
Understanding Extreme Temperature Data - Bob Jost's class at Manchester GATE School in Fresno, California experienced a very hot day during June. Bob demonstrates using GLOBE Visualizations to help understand that extreme measurement.
What is Normal? - Nancy Burton of Jarrow Montessori School in Boulder, Colorado explores her observations for the month of September and tries to understand differences between her observations and others. She ends up understanding the importance of daily measurements and presenting a number of possible research topics related to GLOBE data.
