Additional Pay and Leave Guidance

All nonemergency employees receive excused absence for Thursday and Friday. Employees on preapproved leave are not charged leave on Thursday or Friday.

Employees on flexible or compressed work schedules are granted excused absence for the number of hours that they would have worked (they are not limited to 8 hours). An employee on an alternative work schedule whose regular day off was Thursday or Friday is not entitled to an "in-lieu-of" day off.

Emergency employees who worked on Thursday or Friday are not entitled to overtime pay, compensatory time off, or credit hours for working during their regularly scheduled hours of duty.
