Profile: Jeff Plaut

Jeff Plaut
Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Jeff Plaut is the 2001 Mars Odyssey Project Scientist. He is also a Research Scientist in JPL's Geophysics and Planetary Geology Group. Working at JPL for the past 10 years, Jeff has project experience on the Magellan mission to Venus, Space Shuttle Radar missions, the 2001 Mars Odyssey mission, and the 2003 Mars Express Radar Sounder.

Jeff has a B.A. in Music from Brown University (1980) and a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Washington University at St. Louis (1991). Hi currently resides in Pasadena, and his hometown is Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Maryland.
