Welcome to the Neighborhood Networks at Work Portal!

 Information by State
 Print version

As an effort to consolidate and improve accessibility to the various Neighborhood Networks Database Systems, we have developed a Neighborhood Networks portal entitled "Neighborhood Networks at Work." Through this portal, Neighborhood Networks Centers, HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinators, and HUD Staff now have a single point of access to various online tools available for encouraging communication and boosting the effectiveness and efficiency of Neighborhood Networks stakeholders.

The Neighborhood Networks at Work login process is very similar to the Strategic Tracking and Reporting Tool (START) login process. In fact, Neighborhood Networks center users that have previously created START business plans may login to Neighborhood Networks at Work using their START user name and password. Likewise, HUD Staff and HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinators that have accessed the START management tools may login with the same user name and password they used previously.

Center users without previous START logins will need to create a new login directly from the new Neighborhood Networks at Work portal. HUD Staff and/or HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinators that have not previously accessed START should email Neighborhood Networks support staff to request login information.

The Neighborhood Networks at Work portal will dynamically present tools to users depending on their user group.

Center users may access the following online tools from Neighborhood Networks at Work:

 -   START
 -   Center Website Creation Tool
 -   Center Profile
 -   Center Classification Tool
 -   Center User Management
 -   Survey *
 -   Center Activities Updates Tool *
 -   Calendar of Events Tool *

HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinators users may access the following online tools from Neighborhood Networks at Work:

 -   START
 -   Center Website Creation Tool
 -   Center Profile
 -   Center Classification Tool
 -   Coordinator Profile
 -   Center Events List *
 -   Center Activities List *

HUD Staff may access the following online tools from Neighborhood Networks at Work:

 -   START
 -   Center Website Creation Tool
 -   Center Profile
 -   Center Classification Tool
 -   Coordinator Profile
 -   Center Events List*
 -   Center Activities List*
 -   TA Report § Survey Data*
 -   Account Management Tool

* With this release, several new online tools are now available. These tools are described below.

New Center Tools Available!

Neighborhood Networks now has additional online tools available for improved communication and increased efficiency. The tools are:

Neighborhood Networks Center Calendar of Events Tool -- Centers can use this tool to advertise events that are occurring at their center. Events entered here will populate the national Calendar of Events on the Neighborhood Networks Web site.

Neighborhood Networks Center Activities Update Tool -- This tool allows centers to inform their HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinator(s) of ongoing activities hosted at their center. If needed, it may be used as a weekly or monthly "report" that can be submitted to HUD Neighborhood Networks Coordinators, who may then make comments, offer congratulations, and/or ask questions regarding the activities. These responses will be viewable by the centers that utilize the tool.

Neighborhood Networks Survey -- Centers can use this tool to find and participate in surveys periodically conducted by the Neighborhood Networks Initiative. HUD Staff will be able to view the survey data entered by participating centers.

To enter the Neighborhood Networks at Work portal, users should first go to the Neighborhood Networks Web site. Under both New Resources and Events, Publications and Databases, as well as on the left navigation bar of START, you will see the links for Neighborhood Networks at Work Portal. Just click to enter.

Enjoy using the new portal and online resources! If you have questions regarding how to access Neighborhood Networks at Work and/or how to use any of the online tools, please email us or contact the Neighborhood Networks Information Center toll free at (888) 312-2743.
